Difference between Aims and Objectives
  • Discuss the difference between Aims and Objectives.

Aims are what a teacher would like to achieve at a certain point of time whereas Objectives are what a teacher would do or plan for to achieve them.
So, an Aim would be the overall thing you want to eventually achieve and the Objectives would be the specific tasks you will do to achieve the Aims.
Educationally aims are much broader than objectives. Objectives are very specific.
Aims are general statements concerning the overall goals, ends or intentions of teaching. Objectives are the individual stages that learners must achieve on the way in order to reach these goals. In brief you can say Aims are like goals to be achieved , Objective are tactics to achieve the set goals.
